Lasers
The Texas State University at San Marcos is licensed by the State of Texas to use lasers in research, development, and instruction. Laser safety is the responsibility of all faculty, staff, and students who are directly or indirectly involved in the use of laser devices.
Responsibilities
It is the university's responsibility to establish and pursue an effective Laser Safety Program. EHSREM oversees the program.
Laser Safety Training
Are you planning on taking part in the operation of a Class 3b or Class 4 laser? In order to comply with laser safety requirements and standards, laser operators must complete the required training.
