Safety Training
EHSREM offers of variety of safety training topics that are available to Texas State University faculty, staff, and student. Some of the classes are classroom instructor led and some of the training available is on the TRACS training system and can be accessed via the intranet. To schedule instructor led training session contact the EHSREM office at 245-3616 to schedule a training session.
On-line (TRACS) training
To register for an on-line TRACS training course select the safety training that you are interested in from the On-Line registration navigation block on the left hand side of this page. The requests are reviewed and entered by 9:00 A.M. on a daily basis Monday thru Friday. Once you are granted access to the safety training you will receive an automatic notification from TRACS informing you that you have been granted access to the training. If you have not recieved the notification contact our office at 245-3616 to let us know.
Instructor Led Training
Some of the topics that can be presented are instructor led only. The time varies from approximately 1 hour up to 8 hours depending upon the topic. Some of the topics have a written evaluation or a practical evaluation. A few topics have both a written and practical evaluation. Some topics are taught in the EHSREM Conference room located in the Smith House, others can be performed in a classroom or conference room in your facility. The table below provides a listing of topics available for training and the nominal amount of time required. Contact the EHSREM office at 245-3616 to schedule a training session.
